Did PCGS go through another design change with their holders?

I recently received a certified coin by PCGS in the mail where the reverse side of the slab is completely enveloped by the obverse side of the holder. And I can feel there's a rough edge or ridge by rubbing a finger over it that circumvents around the entire outer edge of the holder. Also, it can't even be seen how the holder was sealed unless it was done from the outer/3rd side of the holder. Maybe someone else can describe in a more precise way, feel free to chime in.

On the below link it appears to be what you are asking about.
Edit: I think it might have started with this announcement or new 2015 holders (museum of holder Gen 6).

As far as sealing I did a cross-section in one thread. Didn't find it but hear are some. I believe in both cases most of the sonic sealing is happening in the notch area which is a little smaller on the newer one.

I must have a very new/freshly sealed holder/coin. I compared it to a few other coins I've acquired over the last 2-3 years. Some of the holder's lips/edges are or have smoothed over a bit and are less noticeable, possibly from the wear that occurs through the handling of them.
Great info you provided there, lilolme! Thank you.
