A few tid bits about the ANA in Pittsburgh.

PTVETTERPTVETTER Posts: 5,902 ✭✭✭✭✭

I can recommend these:

Breakfast:
Kelly O's
Pamela's
Lunch:
Jimmy john's
Dinner:
Ruth's Chris Steak House
Capitol Grill

Does this help?

In 2005, about 30 of us went to Church Brew House for a great, casual dinner.

For economy and in the interest of time each day, I am staying at a hotel that offers free breakfast that seems to meet my needs. For lunch, I may just have something small or a protein bar. For dinners, that very well may help. Thanks!

@Pnies20 A beautiful mess of a hoagie, to be sure, especially when you got the munchies. And the cab driver waits while you pick up your order. Peace Roy

I shot my wad in Orlando and the auction after that.

I rarely go to ANA conventions. The last mid winter one I attended was very disappointing.

This appears to be the largest show of the year, yes?

Any hotel recommendations? I prefer close to very close.

I live less than 30 mile away so I don't know much about downtown hotels.

The show block is gone, but if you are willing to pay the freight there are probably rooms at the hotel across the street from the convention center.

Certainly the Orlando Winter FUN show might rival that perception. :)

Hope those attending Pittsburgh have a great time! same dates as the Chicago Comic Con this year at Rosemont. Around this time in '24, the ANA will be headed back Rosemont way (I'll attend one of these... eventually.)

ANA is larger, winter FUN is better (always fresher material)

Thanks for the list. After being on the Convention Floor all day, most likely, since I'm not part of the Wine & Cheese Crowd anyway, I'll probably stop at Jimmy John's to pick up dinner and a Gatorade, and head back to my hotel room. I've got work to do on my laptop all evening (helps pay for the trip).

It's not quite as nice as that Heritage picture would make it seem, but it has originality with only some very very light hairlines.

If you like high-end burgers, I'd recommend Burgatory. There are a few locations in the Pittsburgh area.
If you go there, I'd stay away from the chicken burgers and go for the bison burgers.
