counterfiet or not

    For any coin I feel is suspect I like to do side by side comparisons, this is totally suspect just could be explained by wear and tear, for me personally the LIBERTY on the shield and I'd pass.

    Just based on that I wouldn't be able to rule either or and is my humble opinion.

    The seller sounds legit :)

    Looks real to me and lightly cleaned as described in the listing.

    I would say it’s genuine, and the description of “lightly cleaned” is accurate.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Looks genuine to me also, usually the date on these counterfeits is the giveaway.

    Genuine and cleaned just as the description says.

    I have collected seated coins for many years and I agree with all the experts above-genuine. It is not a coin that I would want, however.

    look at the beak it looks like its been broken off and then glued back on to me also if you enlarge it and check outhe the feathers you see what looks like 4 arrows instead of three one feather showing from behind the other and the points as well.
