Goodwill Finds: Numismatic Books!

As I was heading to the grocery store, I spotted the grand opening of a Goodwill I had never seen before. Besides being the cleanest Goodwill in the world, they had a diverse selection and plenty of customers to pack the store. I had suit jackets, suitcases, and books on my mind. None of the jackets or suitcases worked, but I was able to find some coin books! I do not have any of these resources already, nor do I know much about them. The US Mint and Coinage book, at a quick glance, looks like a super cool read complete with thorough information and illustrations of the mints.
These costed a little less than $7 for the trio included with a military discount. How did I do?
No banknotes or Willy Wonka tickets tucked in the pages, although the Hard Times Token book has a slip of paper and R. Young written at the top! Anyone know who that is?
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33. Young fellow suffering from Bust Half fever.

Cherrypicking coin books...awesome. During the peak of the Cherrypickers Guide bubble, I plucked a couple of them right off the shelf of a retail Books a Million store. You never know...
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
You did VERY well! Congrats!
So Jealous!
Nice find!
Penny Whimsy is an expensive book and the Taxay volume of US Mint and Coinage is a terrific read. You did great!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Way cool pickup, one never knows what's gonna turn up
These are all Durst reprints, so not worth anything close to that.
But still a very good price for some great books.
Nice finds! Congrats!

Thanks everyone! I started reading "The U.S. Mint and Coinage" this morning at the coffee shop. I am excited to dive in further.
Knowledge is power! It pays off to have expansive knowledge across the board, so you can be prepared for the deals when they are revealed. Good to hear you found some deals too!

All day long.
Pet peeve: Price stickers on paper. GG
Nice score. In my search for sports related books I keep an eye out for coin related literature. So far only some old redbooks.
