NGC encapsulating original mint coin capsule into their holder.

I noticed in one YouTube video that NGC is encapsulating the original mint coin capsule into their holder. I did not know this! This is something new to me! Can I request this from NGC for any U.S. coin I send them?

I'm not familiar with their policy, but perhaps this is offered only for coins that aren't round? If they did this for round coins then the pieces might tend to rotate randomly in their capsules and appear "off" in the holders.

That is the first 'holder in a holder' I have seen. Perhaps an inquiry to customer service would be informative. Cheers, RickO

I’ll bet it’s at least the second you’ve seen. Don’t forget pcgs GSA grading holders….
