If you don't look closely, the gold sticker looks very similar to a cac sticker.
The auction does clearly state Littleton.
Your thread title pertains to PCGS “gold shield”, not the “Littleton Select” sticker. And I don’t know any sellers of coins with CAC stickers who fail to mention them in their descriptions.

I was referencing the littleton sticker looking very similar to the cac sticker.
Someone could come along thinking it's cac without reading the description based on the pic alone and hit the bin.
Again, it's a nice looking coin.
Is this a sticker Heritage would completely remove before auction to avoid any confusion?

Do the slabs for Morgan’s not use the prong gaskets?
Mine has prongs.
I saw the OP Morgan didn’t have prongs. I’m not sure when prongs began, but most all Secure Plus, which pre dates Gold Shield, I’ve seen have prongs. Was there a time when there was a choice?

I’m no plastic surgeon expert, but I can tell you some more details about the slab. It’s gold shield NIFC and is from 2020. That’s all I know.

I was looking at the PCGS slab generation page and found that 2012 was the first year pronged holders were used. Generation 4.4S (2010-2011) was the final year of the old gasket. Those slabs had bar codes on both sides. The OP slab has a bar code on the obverse, but a QR code on the reverse. QR codes didn’t make their first appearance until 2015, 3 years after the old gaskets weren’t discontinued. .

“Without reading the description”.
Hopefully one would do more research than that when making a high dollar coin purchase … at least I would. If that’s how one buys coins then he or she likely to end up with a few lemons in their collection 😁

In the image from the Littleton website, the words "Littleton Select" are easily detectable. Not so much in the eBay images.
Is it possible that the words 'Littleton Select' become more, or less, detectable depending on the viewing angle?
Stickers and slab generations have never interested me. If a coin has no sticker, but I like it (for a myriad of reasons), I buy it. If it comes with a sticker, fine... same standards apply to the coin. I never cared what slab generation the coin was in. Just my collecting style. Cheers, RickO
I don’t understand the problem. Sticker says Littleton, is a different color and is accurately described.
Before buying any CAC stickered coins, you should validate them on the CAC website. Same goes for validating the slab on the PCGS or NGC website as applicable.
This hobby is a minefield for those who just click ‘buy’ and pay no attention to descriptions or pictures. Do the tiniest bit homework and you can avoid the vast majority of problem coins / holders / stickers.
I recently came across a pcgs holder with the Gold Sheild but the slab number provided no True View (TV) of the coin. Did I learn that not all Gold Sheild pcgs holders have a TV?

But it’s in a pcgs gold shield holder. Auction description looks correct and not deceptive.
Nice coin tho!
The sticker is the tricky part!
In what way it is “deceiving”?

Because it is Littleton Select and not CAC?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I also said "can be deceiving " not that it is definitely deceiving.
I think it's perfectly fine. There is no confusion about a gold cac sticker. The gold shield is a reference to the type of pcgs holder.

It would be interesting if this was sent to CAC and it stickered where CAC would place their sticker.

Probably on the left side where the gold shield is.

'PCGS Museum of Coin Holders' seems to suggest that "Tri-View" holders were introduced with GEN 4.5 (i.e., DEC-2011).
Gen 6.1 I believe.

Wouldn't the QR code on the back of the label make it a GEN6.0S?
It’s also on the previous Generation 6.0.

Yep. The subject coin is in a GS holder. So, I linked to the GS version of the GEN 6.0 holder, GEN 6.0S.
What were the circumstances for it to have an old gasket last used 3 years earlier?

Although the sticker is the same size/shape as CAC, the Littleton one is silver, and it is clear in-hand that it's not the same.

I have no idea how PCGS determines which gasket to use. Hopefully, someone else will 'chime in'.
FWIW, it appears that they still use a solid gasket at times. See the GEN 6.1 images in the 'PCGS Museum of Coin Holders'.
While it's a bit different than CAC, it also seems to match more than another design:

'Secure (Plus)/Gold Shield' started in 2010. Reference #1; Reference #2
The free TV images were not added until 2015. Reference
To me, this suggests a period during which a submitter could opt for GS, but decline to pay extra for the TV images.
