I responded again asking for a picture of the parcel missing the 90% silver....No response. Same type of claim as the other one. Uploaded tracking into the request.

Two different states far apart. Could be they're picking up the script somewhere.
It would be very strange that two different buyers would be making the same claim. Is it possible that someone at your Post Office is opening your packages and then resealing them after removing the coins?

They're false claims as far as I know. The first one a couple months ago would not comply with request for pictures of the empty package, same thing with this one. Usps doesn't deliver empty packages if there is evidence of tampering without putting the damaged package in one of their notices labels.
If tracking shows delivered then as far as ebay is concerned it's between the buyer and USPS. You have fulfilled your obligation.

This is definitely not true. I received an empty box from my mailman that had been slit open and then resealed with clear tape. It was a slabbed Saint that I bought from a well-established and trusted fellow forum member.

in most cases USPS will double bag it with a note before delivery. This tells everyone the theft occurred before delivery and is grounds for an insurance claim.

Or if it's "signature required" the receiver has a right to refuse it.
Wow....reminds me of one I experienced years ago. Had purchased a gold Saint.... Received an email from the seller (before package arrived) saying another buyer received an empty package.. to let him know when I got my package. It came the next day... empty!! Contacted him, he said the thief was in his local P.O. and was already caught. Then he made good on my purchase. Do not know if the original coin was found/reclaimed. Cheers, RickO

I didn't lose anything yet; just the same line that the package arrived empty and they contacted the usps and the police with no follow up when hard evidence was requested.

Yeah I hope you don't lose anything, but it seems like time and time again they side with the buyer. In your case I hope I am wrong.

the numismatics crimes page had 2 different articles about shipping theft,one was UPS the other USPS.
both thieves were in managerial positions.

"Machine parts" though the usps knows that a lot of coins and currency get shipped, most of little value but occasionally a thief gets "lucky".
eBay closed the guy's claim when I contacted them. No evidence, no claim. Shipping showed delivered. Insured but we don't want to fuel questionable claims.
Insurance and a successful ebay claim go out the window once tracking shows delivered. It then becomes a battle between the buyer and USPS.

I use the Cologuard name/logo on the outside of all the packages I send.
I mailed a special coin Tuesday, in an envelope, in a small flat rate box, which was then put in a medium flat rate priority with bubble wrap. Then I took a picture of the box with the label.
Yes I wear a belt and suspenders.
