New discoveries

I was told these coins are either dirty or nothing special. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on this.

I vote for dirty AND nothing special. Is there some reason you find that answer surprising?

Whoever told you they were dirty or nothing special was correct.
Why do you think they were wrong?

the first one is very obviously a date over date im thinking 1919 over 1719 but thats me obviously a 9/9 on the end and looks like second number is 9/7 possibly 1919 over 1929 hard to tell but definitely special

Nothing special and dirty is correct. The doubling effect seen on the 9 on the dime is mechanical doubling and not worth a premium.

Successful BST with ad4400, Kccoin, lablover, pointfivezero, koynekwest, jwitten, coin22lover, HalfDimeDude, erwindoc, jyzskowsi, COINS MAKE CENTS, AlanSki, BryceM

    Mechanical doubling.

Could you cite the reference for the DDO that looks like that? Perhaps on varietyvista.com?

It is as easy to spread ignorance as knowledge.

All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.

@Trentboo... Welcome aboard. You have mechanical doubling and PMD. No numismatic premium. Cheers, RickO
