Numismatic rumor from 1935 - Henry Ford trading cars for 1922 cents

I was just reading Numismatic Scrapbook from May 1935 and found this tidbit that I found interesting. Apparently a rumor was going around that Henry Ford was trying to hoard all the 1922 cents made and was trading new cars for them. Imagine that, people believing that probably went wild looking for them 🤔
