Did the USM offer the Morgan and Peace unc dollars at their booth? Are the services giving any special label for FUN show?
Yes and yes. They were the majority of the folks in line all day.
Did the line move relatively quickly? Was there limits applied for those in line?
I don’t know about limits but I was #5 in line and they had 4 seats at their booth for submissions and it took me like 20 minutes to get seated. Not bad at all.
Also the lady that helped me was fantastic. Very patient.
I remember looking at around 11 and there being the longest line I’d seen throughout the day. It was fairly steady the entire day and the workers said they hadn’t been able to leave and eat!

That was my experience at the PCGS submission booth. It was perhaps one of the longest 'stand and wait' experience in a short line I've ever experienced. I could see collectors were examining individual silver dollars from a group they had purchased and were selecting silver dollars for submission. Meanwhile, there were hundreds of millions of dollars of beautiful coins all around me. It drove me a bit nuts.
I'll say this, though, the PCGS staff are always very friendly and patient with me, and I really appreciate that! The wait was worth it to get another box graded.
Buckle up your chinstraps, SLH registry guys, I'm coming after you!
Pipe dreams aside, I use the Registry primarily for showing coins and looking at other's coins. With a set grade average of about 20, I'm competing with myself. For me, it's been fun to see what coins one can find raw on eBay. Here are two R6s and an R8.

When I wrapped up my last negotiation around 3:30pm, in row 100, I noticed about 20 people in line for the mint.
I went on Friday morning. It was my first large national show. So much eye candy. I was a little time restricted since I flew in to visit family. But I could have easily spent all day browsing. How much larger is the winter show?

Figure about twice as big
Actually a bit more than double. I don’t remember the exact numbers I read, but my guess of what I read is that this show has about 275 dealer tables, while last January Winter FUN had about 650 or so.

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!
The show was very well attended, I saw pretty strong action where I was standing. I didn’t see much product on the floor that appealed to me, so I ended up hanging out with Noah (numismattack) at his table for the rest of the show, and ultimately helping out when it got busy.
I would say in my opinion, the market still has a good amount of “pep” but ambitiously priced widgets will languish. Plenty of demand for honest circulated key dates and PQ type coins. At many tables, it was very crowded and difficult to view coins at times, but by 3pm Saturday it was a ghost town.
Got to catch up with several forum members and meet a few others, great putting faces to the names sometimes.
I walked away with one notable newp from this show, a 1903-S $10 in 66+cac ex. Simpson-Hall. It came from a good friend of mine, and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity after I held the coin.

Got to love those PCI and NNC certified coins! You have to wonder what they'd cross over at.
I'm sure that you know most will drop an average of two grades, but every now and then you can find a gem if you look for them, this is now also sporting a green bean original cost was $2 in the NNC holder.
I went on Thursday and again on Friday, looking for nice circulated Barber halves between VF30 and AU50. I was very disappointed that there were very few in this grade with exceptional eye appeal, but this is what makes the hunt for them so challenging and fun. There were plenty of beautiful mint state pieces however, but they are out of my price range.
As for the show itself, this appears to be the largest Summer FUN show that I have had the pleasure to attend since I started going as a new Florida resident 12 years ago. I didn't get there until 11 AM on Thursday but there was a definite air of excitement on the bourse floor. I heard a number of dealers say that Friday was slower than Thursday.
I also collect Canadian coins, and though they are not the subject of this forum I was very happy to find 4 certified five cents coins, two to upgrade my five cents silver collection (1870 - 1922), one to fill in a hole in my Canadian type set and a final coin to fill a hole in my George V set (1922 - 1936).
Overall the show was FUN! The traffic was bloody atrocious coming and going as usual. The traffic jam coming into Orlando at 5 PM on Friday stretched for miles and miles and miles. The huge population increase in Florida is definitely making itself felt. Oh, and it was 100 degrees in Orlando on Friday so kudos to the Convention Center for providing all of us attendees with a refreshing indoor experience

Gonna drive over there in just a little while. Need to wrap up some work first.![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
They're requiring valid IDs for registration which I totally agree with. Buy, buy, buy!
Looks like it will be a great show. Reports please. Cheers, RickO

BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Ahh, I wondered why there was a line for the US mint, I assumed it was to get proof sets etc.
That’s what I get for being focused on large cents!

Loved this show!!!
Had a dealer friend that didn’t come because it’s “smaller”. Definitely not what I experienced today.
Without giving you a full review this was the best show I’ve been to and I heard multiple dealers say how it was a really good show for them as well.
No idea how this could be considered small by any means, and frankly it was much better than Baltimore this year.
My purchase will be shown when I get more information. Couldn’t pass it up.

Though not on the same scale as winter FUN, this was one of the busier and better attended summer FUN shows I’ve been to.
Any pictures of the ICG or other grading companies there? I've always appreciated Randy Campbell's free grade opinions at shows.
Randy and our former forum member Insider were both there and looked busy.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
@Insider's professional opinion is missed by me on this form. He's aways generous with his time when I see him at Fun Shows.
