If pics are good representation then I'm going with fake. IMO the fields are just too smooth little chatter and then the crisp letter edging while considerable wear on eagle's breast and Liberty's hair. Along with the dullness that others have points out.

Good observation. On a real coin, the bag marks are usually shiny compared to the texture of the surrounding surfaces. When a fake coin is made by dies created using a real coin having bag marks, the bag marks on the counterfeit coin have a similar texture as the surrounding surfaces.

Unfortunately will probably fool a lot of new collectors. What I noticed is Liberty's cap looked very worn & mushy when the coin had AU details. Good info above related bagmarks.

Excellent observation and I hadn’t given this a thought.

Going with my gut ... something looks off, but I can't place it

What does it weigh? It could just be the images, but the surfaces look dull to me and the spots don't help either...

Don't know the weight as I don't have it in hand and the owner does not have a scale to weigh it. Says it's not magnetic is all I can add.
Doesn’t look right
Looks mushy; even the bag marks don’t look right
I’m noticing some irregularities.
Among them the stars on the obverse don’t look right.
My senses tell me not genuine.
