Who currently has other coin collectors in their family?

Today is Father's Day. A day for me( and many of you). We decided to celebrate by going to a local restaurant, its ceiling adorned with a captivating dark blue hue that sloped upwards. As I gazed up, I couldn't help but notice the patterns of mirrored circles within rectangles and squares, resembling a mesmerizing display of a blue-hued fantastical coin show, perhaps from a dream.
Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly snapped back to reality, realizing that my daughters and wife were engrossed in a conversation about photographs from one of their weddings. It reminded me then, in that moment, that no one in my family is a coin collector.
There are no children, no living aunts, uncles, or nephews to discuss my collecting dreams and schemes. (I can still work on my elementary school grand-nephews)
On this Father's Day, as I reflect upon the absence of collectors in my own family, I wonder if you have collectors in your own families.
I still feel very blessed.

Amazing to see that many of us have no one to share with. Maybe we should all get together and create our own family.
Raeleen has a collection of PCGS sample slabs that's she has been collecting for about 20 years. When we attended a show in Hong Kong together, she was pretty excited to get the sample they handed out there.

My son, 34, has shown signs of interest. I even gifted all 6 of my nephews and nieces Morgan's and ASE every Christmas for years hoping to spur some interest. Time will tell. I have a few more years to work on them.

No one in my family (yet). My daughters boyfriend is very interested in coins, I have given him several $$$ in coins. including silver (ASE and pre1964 coins), he also has a nice currency collection. He recently completed a 1940 to 1975 whitman cent folder,
My hairdresser who I've known for over 30 years was given a lot of coins also, including a few I slabbed for her. She has a small collection and I like to help her out when I have extras.
My daughter wants my collection as an inheritance, but I may sell a lot of it and change the many to a few (just buy gold and giver her gold) and a few of the higher value items.

My wife collects dimes (Roosevelts, Mercury, Barber and Seated) as well as British coins. My one brother in law collects a little, has several old albums and mint products. My other brother in law collects bullion. Two of my adult nephews are casual collectors, just into coins a little bit. My older brother collects a little, he’s the one that started me off when I was a kid, but he’s actually more into stamps than coins. One of my wife’s uncles hoards junk silver, he’s been doing that since the 60s, and he also hoards mint products, he has so much but no individual coins of value other than a few GSA Morgan’s he got when the government first sold them. He has literal buckets of junk silver he pulled from circulation since the 60s.
I’m thinking of sending some starter sets of Lincoln’s in folders or albums to my great nephews to see if any get interested, but not sure if I should or not.

Nobody here, and all the close family has passed away, though they did not collect in their lifetimes.
I thought we were.

Nope. None here sorry to say.
My 16-year-old granddaughter is a collector.
My brother does not collect but listens to all my coin stories and is happy to learn what I know. So I am lucky that way. He has his own hobbies like MTG and other stuff. We talk about our passions to each other and makes things fun!!!
I have been a collector all my life and he has always enjoyed talking about it with me.
We both like video games so we share that hobby in common and play together at least once per week. We are grown men but who cares as long as we are having fun that is all that matters. We also follow the NFL season together and sometimes he gets into the NHL. I follow the whole season when it comes to my teams in hockey.

No collectors in my family.... now or ever. My nephew, had a mild interest as a kid, but grown now, an engineer and married... no interest at all now. Might have to consider what happens to my coins after I go to the great bourse in the sky.... nah, going to live to 100... So far, doing well.

Cheers, RickO
My dad got into collecting $2.5 Indians a few years after I started getting into coins.

My son and I are in the process of collecting all the circulation issue quarters 1796-1998, and he's collecting 1999-pres with his sons. My piece is 1838-1916, which is complete. I don't count the 73cc n/a. I don't believe any were ever issued for circulation. The big 3 that are left are the 1796, 1823, and 1916 Standing.
My daughter never took to the hobby, only for a brief time at an early age where she showed some interest.
However, my son was a true collector, although diff series than me. Sadly, we lost him at age 26 to an illness. So now I must work on my daughters sons (my grandsons) and pass on the hobby.
My previous live in girfriend girlfriend was a coin collector when I threw her out - she collected all my gold coins and left when I was at work - I spent a week in jail for what I did to get them back.
