Here's a 1799 counterfeit Large Cent that is listed as a 1798 Large Cent S-172. Obvious counterfeit that threw in a repaired piece to try to distract buyers or just an error listing, who knows for sure. I contacted the seller and advised him the 1799 photo was in error for the listing and also a counterfeit. The auction has 13 bidders, which I would imagine are thinking they might get a deal, but alas, not. They don't even know for what they are bidding for.

I think it is very well described for what exactly it is including that it was previously sold as a genuine '99 and returned. Engraving of the date was done pretty well, which is a concern if the winner tries to deceive and sell it as a genuine '99...
Messed up listing for sure.... and still active. Either someone will get burned, or it will be relisted somewhere and someone else will get scammed. Cheers, RickO
