Very sorry to hear that. I was thinking of him last week and was going to try to search him out by callsign but life got in the way. I knew him years ago in the REC. Collecting.Coins (RCC) group and we stood side to side during the great legal debacle that came out OK. He was a heck of a nice guy, a dedicated Ham and a super collector.

Hopefully I'll see him again some day in that big Hamfest and Brouse in the sky and we can talk about the "old days>

Condolences to his his family and friends, he will be missed.

Eric is the one who brought me over here from rec.collecting.coins, he also helped me with my first PCGS submission. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I remember him from RCC, too, back when some clown who shall not be named tried to sue the internet. My sympathies to his family and friends.

He was such a strong and enjoyable presence on these forums in the early days.
This is sad news yet good to know he is not battling daily pain.

That is sad news. He was a forum instigator (in a good way), trying to make the hobby better with knowledge sharing, and trying to root out bad actors in coin industry. He was one of the defendants in the ACG grading company lawsuit IIRC.

My recollection of K6AZ was his battle with Alan Hagar and Accugrade which carried over to this site and dominated his life for quite some time. It seemed to affect everything he did and many members here felt his wrath if they didn't agree with him on everything. It was sad and disruptive. He seemed to be knowledgeable and capable as a collector but the ACG tirade spoiled all that.

I can only hope he found peace and was able to put all that behind him.

Very sad news, as others do, I remember him as one of the 46 along with myself that were encumbered by a frivolous legal action.

He did 10 or 15 years ago, don't know if he stayed on or not. I bought a bunch of stuff from him off ebay including Ham radio stuff and metal detectors and a whooping bunch of coins.

Seems he brought a few of us over....myself included.

Shades of AH and ACG.....that sucked.....glad that a large coin related firm picked up the tab on the legal fees......

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
