Anyone there?? It started yesterday but I haven't seen a thread. I'll likely drop in around lunchtime if it's not too smoky out... yesterday was pretty brutal for air quality...

Get there early. Most of the big dealers will be packed and gone by noon.

Ok I dare a dealer to say “this was my best show ever”

I’ve seen more action in a morgue

Dealers that are active and have material that’s priced right and fresh did some great business. Dealers sitting with the same items from ten years ago at prices that are not realistic will of course be moaning.

A friend of mine went and said attendance was pretty sparce. On the other hand, he did manage to pick up several newbies, at decent prices.

Hello all... I didnt get to the show until 1:00 PM. Definitely no lines to get in... Depending on where you stood the show was fairly brisk:

    Or... it was pretty dead...

They didnt have the entire Hall opened and there were fewer vendors set up. Some of the vendors that were listed in the show program were not actually set up. I'm guessing around 15-20% of the tables were empty. I'm trying to recall Baltimore Summer shows pre-Pandemic and I think it was about as equally slow...

The one vender I was really looking for was there... so I did luck out on Early Copper. Ive been looking for an 1839 Booby or Silly Head for the Middle Date run. Tom Reynolds was set up and doing fairly brisk business. He did say that Thursday was pretty slow... maybe due to the poor air quality. Today was much better being outdoors. The other Copper vendors I frequent were not at this show... CVM and Ellsworth were not in attendance. Other than copper, I was also looking for a decent mid-grade Draped Bust Half... I looked at a couple, but prices were more than I wanted to spend.

After circling the show twice I ended up back at Tom's table and this followed me home... I'll have to double back for a nice 1839, but this 1852 is an upgrade...

For a comparison the PAN show in May was about the some size with a few more people attending.

I was there today- a modified and smaller bourse was anticipated. At the opening, it really was brisk with a decent line to get in- I know...I was in it. There were some excellent opportunities to buy. I saw decent coins across different series both at the US and World level. I thought it was well organized and while there were some vacant tables, I really wonder if the real days to attend are just Thursday and Friday. I thought there was something for everyone if you are willing to walk the bourse and simply explore- and for those that look, they find at least something which is better than complaining

Made the show on Thursday. Yea it might have been a bit slow at times, but it is summertime! It's a great show to kick back and work the 2x2 boxes for that token or tough variety. It's just good to talk with dealers and friends. This time around, I came home empty handed. We all know that dreaded feeling when you tell a dealer...give me a few minutes to think about it and walk away only to find the item sold upon your return! Mea culpa!
