Swiss America sales stickers off the back of hologram backed NGC fatties. The damage on some of the holograms i have is bad and really detracts from the holder.

Soak the dealer sticker with goo-gone or even WD40 overnight. Hopefully that will soften the glue enough that the dealer sticker will easily come off. Many years ago, I peeled the dealer sticker off a no-line fatty NGC slab and the entire full width hologram came off with it. I was NOT happy.![:# :#](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)

Do you have pictures of what you're talking about?

Goo gone may melt the plastic, test on another slab or such.

I was thinking the same exact thing. NO "ZERO" CHEMICALS on a slab! Use a hairdryer to remove stickers.

Much like cleaning coins you are better off doing nothing, the hologram on the fatties is very fragile.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Unfortunately no, it is typical of several coins I am looking at purchasing. Price is fair at best but not with a damaged hologram.
Lighter fluid
Works great on removing labels

I've never had a problem using goo gone on slabs but it doesn't hurt to test it first.

WD40 makes them come off quite nicely.
I've removed auction house, dealer stickers with it.
No problems, wipe/clean with a clean micro fiber cloth.
Sugar magnolia blossoms blooming, heads all empty and I don't care ...
Goo gone won't touch the plastic.
Be careful using a hairdryer. The plastic used in slabs has a low melting point.

Okay gents, I guess we all move forward at our own risk with stuff like this.

I have used GooGone on slabs with no detrimental effects. Worked on dealer stickers and a couple of random collector stickers. Cheers, RickO
Agree. Goo gone is a citrus oil that smells like oranges. I imagine other oils such as mineral oil and olive oil would also work to dissolve and loosen the sticker adhesive. When in doubt, try it on a small area of a cheap slab to confirm that it won't hurt the plastic. I also like the suggestion to use a hairdryer to soften the adhesive while being very careful not to overheat the plastic.

Don't forget Peanut butter. Same principle - the oils will soften the adhesive.

I was writing that as it appeared. Warm air, even your breath helps peel.
Liquid soap and warm water works for me.
