NEWP: 1843-O Seated Liberty Dime

Here is a new acquisition from Ebay. I did not expect this piece to go nearly as inexpensively as it did - it finished at just over $30.

This issue is a well known condition rarity, with very little of the 150,000 mintage being saved. Most of the known coins are well-worn, and this coin's inclusion in jewelry probably saved it from becoming well-worn. If you have a 43-O dime yourself feel free to post it here.

The repair would stop me from buying the coin... Just too much for me. I realize that it can fill a hole for series collectors. Cheers, RickO
