Some of you might now about the 2023 Lincoln Cent "Extra V" error. This thread is not about that. Doing some roll searching, I seem to have found the "Broken Neck" Error. 6 out of 50 had this going on. All are different.
a) What caused this/what kind of minting issue is this?
b) Is this valuable/special?
I did not see anything else out of the ordinary on the rest of the coin. I can post more pictures but I don't know if it's necessary.

Grease on the die?
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
Grease or gunk on the die that was retained for multiple strikes.
And now the whole coin to be sure.
Replaced...

Struck through grease.
Interesting and probably worth keeping but not particularly valuable.
Agree with 'struck through grease/gunk'.... Interesting to find the group in a roll though. Cheers, RickO
You could probably lay them out in progression as each strike would show less of the Struck Through.
Might be worth keeping for educational purposes but no real value.
Same as above posts.
