I found d a quarter that appears to have no cladding anywhere, has anyone seen this before on a 2006 ND quarter?? Any help would be appreciated. Oh and I did find it while digging up a garden...

Environmental damage, probably a metal detecting find.
A missing clad layer coin should have spots, or the whole coin being copper-colored.

The color is a very dark copper or bronze color and extremely even all over. And condition wise there is hardly even a scratch on it. The sides are the same way. I'll try to take much better photos to share. Thanks for everyone's thoughts.

Better photo's will help and make sure you show it's luster.
    Bronze ?
A darker form of copper almost black.
Is this correct and are there many of, any other dates out there ?

That is the poster child for a buried coin. That is exactly what they look like after being in the ground for a while. I have found hundreds metal detecting.

    “Environmentally damaged surfaces”

Not an error of any kind or type, sorry to say.

@sirvine ... Welcome aboard. You said you found it in the garden. Many of us have also found quarters that have spent time in the ground, and they look just like that. It is environmental damage and not a mint error. Cheers, RickO
