Currently on the block with Stack's. What a lovely example of an issue that comes all too often as a dipped out, lackluster white.

Maywood.

Really pretty commem. As you say, this coin is easy to find (in almost any grade), but hard to find with a compelling look.

The tone pattern on this coin suggests to me that it was in an album for quite awhile but from the images it's hard to tell what the luster is like. That is another relevant point with this issue as many, many coins have been dipped white and allowed to re-tone with the resultant loss of luster. And from what I have seen, the bulk of the coins may not have had strong luster as issued, perhaps intentional due to how the dies/planchets were prepared.

Below are images of the only Isabella Quarter I've owned. As usual, it had modest luster and to my thinking had re-toned from a years ago dipping session, probably housed in an album of some type prior to encapsulation.

I can imagine that being a nice coin, but boy I don't like those photos. That coin could just as easily be overdipped and toned after as it could be dripping in lustre and looking glorious. The blue shades also appear very unnatural, and I can't imagine the coin really looks like what's shown.

I'm not here to promote or defend the coin, but the image seems close albeit a little bright. As in all auctions I think we need to take in all the available information and make a judgement for ourselves. Considering the Stack's description, their images and the NGC cert page images provides a good idea of what the coin actually looks like. My experience with both Stack's and NGC images is that neither tries to enhance images and represents things accurately.

Not a fan to be honest. The color progression and especially the abrupt blue to yellow/gold transition look odd to me.

I don’t think silverpop gets the idea he isn’t welcome here. :/

Not a big fan of toned coins, but this one it is a really beautiful one. I love the details so clear and show everything of the beauty of the design.

    I like it!

It took me a while but I found an example for my collection that has nice color and close to PL fields:
