In 2011 the 1928 S used to be much higher cost than 34s

Will the 34s someday not be worth as much?

Its was only higher in MS65. The 28S in 65 must be a much tougher to find coin.

Supply and demand are the major reasons for cost fluctuation.... Things change... interests change, supply ebbs and flows....Cheers, RickO

Current MS65 CDN bid on the 1928-S... $18,000
Current MS65 CDN bid on the 1934-S... $7200
    It's called "condition rarity"...

The 34-S is a condition rarity, similar to but not as extreme as the 1884-S Morgan Dollar. They are relatively common in circulated grades but hard to find in any uncirculated grade.
The 28-S is also a condition rarity, but this one is relatively common in grades up to 64, but very hard to find in gem grades. I'd be interested to see what that book has listed for the 25-S in MS65.
