I ask because I have gotten a couple nice ones recently.
If you have, tell us what you found.

Well, not exactly in change. Does CRH'ing count?

Only my low and high leaf quarters, both came back AU.

yes if you bought it for face
no if you paid a premium somewhere
Years ago...my 1995 DDO Lincoln Cent that I got in change from Burger King in Homestead, Florida, in 1995. I submitted it ten years later. It graded MS64 RED. I still have it. Nothing financially special, but special to me.
Yes, a 1972 Type 2 Ike.
Graded MS64.

Great! Yep, all face value accept the grading fees of course.
A bunch of W quarters came back 66 and 67, plus Speared Eagles. Three came back 67.

Where did you get an Ike in your change???
Young Numismatist
It was from a bank, but I paid face for it.

the wounded eagles have price guide of 1400 ... nice
This one was found in a box while looking for W quarters.
MS-64 PCGS
But if you got a box of brand new coins from a bank, submission of coins would be far more likely than if a sweaty cashier handed me a coin.
I found this in change

Right now I have 4 of these out for grading - 2022-P 25c MA VDDR-001, 1-R-VIII
And two of these - 1972-D 50C No "FG" FS-901 (Regular Strike)
All from face value rolls this year.

Those price guides are pretty much useless. They are no where near true market values.
Not mine but a recent eBay sale.

What grades are you hoping to get back? Post them here when you get them back.

I have not submitted any coins from change.... I have a couple of original rolls of Sacs that could produce a Speared Eagle...but unless it looks 67 or better, I would not bother. Cheers, RickO
why waste the time and money on something common that you found in change? to me it's not worth it but that is my opinion

I suppose like anything else, it's all personal preference or what one considers worth it. I'm with you. I'm not interested in common stuff. But again, it all depends on what one considers common.
Do you consider this common or worth it? I think (not 100% sure) this is what the OP might be referring to.

Not what I call a "change" find submission, but when the Alaska quarters came out I picked up a few rolls from the bank and submitted the best two of the bunch. Graded out as 66 and 67. A learning experience and still have them both.
It's been 7 months. Have you gotten these back yet? 😂 🤣

Yup...I posted the Mayas and you commented on them lol

The 1972's came back with one listed on my online invoice as "Faint but FG visible" and the other one was "Struck through grease" if I'm remembering correctly...I'll have to find the photos or take pics for you.

yes, I do it all the time. If I get a fresh out of roll coin I put it in my wallet, then when at home I high graded them. I only use cash so I get more change than most people. Over the years I get about 100 coins to submit.
No.
