Time to dismantle this Lincoln Cent Set

Hate to break it up but some coins simply have to be graded before eventually selling. Set contains XF to nice Uncirculated coins - 1909-2007. 1922 No D is Fine and there is no 1955 DDO.

@Windycity ... Nice looking album and nice coins.... I guess you have determined that slabbing some of the special coins will result in a higher overall return... Good luck. Cheers, RickO
thats nice to see, nice set![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Very nice. So how long did it take you to complete?

I don't know that it's necessary to "break up" the set just to get a few graded. I just fill the hole in the album with a nice, common-date IHC. I only have four graded Lincolns that have a slot in the album, so it isn't unsightly, but I also do that for, e.g., walking liberty half dollars, where almost half are graded (but I use nice JFK halves to fill those holes, of course).
This set was put together over a period of about 10 years... all raw coins!!
Wonderful set, good luck on the grading....!!

Nice dilemmas involve good coins. (the dilemma is not acquiring the coin, but getting the "added value" added). So fun getting the grades, but then we let the best go. And we can never get it back for less than we sell it for, typically. Really good lookers in the lot.
Nice set.
Very nice coins in that set, well put together.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Nice set. I like the look of a complete Dansco album. Are you selling because you are tired of the set?
I have a Dansco set I completed a few years back. I went with nice AU BN for the first two pages and MS RD for the remaining pages. Mine has the proofs and runs several years into the Shield Cent. I cracked out a few keys to complete my set. But I don't plan on re-slabbing, its' probably a set I will always keep.
Just time to sell some of my personal collection - no interested kids or grandkids so time to move it.
Here's mine in an Intercept Shield album. The Dansco page has the Proofs. Of course, the photos won't load in the proper order.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/1m/tvobnakpkf0h.jpg)

A date walk through 20th century history and a nice coin design.
I have the 09sVDB and the 55DDO1 (both slabbed) but my wife is actually completing a Whitman album. She inherited most from a 98 yr old relative who passed and decided to complete it.
Good luck with your grades/sale.
