PM sent, sorry to hear about your teeth
$236.90
I think you meant to PM that...
Sure is heck to get so damn old that you forget everything you used to do with ease. Yes, I meant to PM that, of course.
Thanks, have a great weekend.
bob
I know exactly what you mean! You have a great weekend as well, thanks!
You can tell those have been stashed if they have Barbers - I haven't seen those in "junk" silver in about 30 years now.
Yes, just like they came in rolls from the bank back in the 60's.
My pleasure to let them go into collections or stashes.
Served me well.

Hoping I get lucky and score some Barbers
I remember 20-30 years ago somebody on the forums needed teeth and we all chipped in. Does anybody remember that?
I don't remember that but thanks, I'll just sell off some of the rainy day fund......
Be well, have a great weekend Mr. Dixon.

geez I like the guys around here, as much as anyone, but I'm not donating any of my teeth to anyone
Great selection. I may be wrong, but I thought the USPS does not insure coins, bullion or cash unless it's mailed via Registered Mail.

Well, thank you very much for that information. I've been wasting money buying insurance at the priority mail self service for a few more boxes than I'd like to admit.
I just broke a tooth so I feel your pain.
Best of luck with the sale. I'm sure they will sell well.
Another thing to be aware off is: PayPal will mail you a 1098k regardless if you are paid via reg. pp or ff. Uncle Sam wants your $$$$$.
That’s not quite the whole story - you can insure collectible coins at other tiers such as first class or Priority. Just don’t call it bullion.
That is not entirely true. Bullion (and cash) must be sent Registered Mail to qualify for USPS insurance. Collectible, non-bullion coins can be shipped using regular, insured mail.
From the Domestic Mail Manual (DMM) from USPS.gov:
Except for Registered Mail, the maximum indemnity for negotiable items (defined as instruments that can be converted to cash without resort to forgery), currency, or bullion, is $15.00.

I have it covered, no problems.

I don't have a reference but I understood that if the bullion trades at 15% more than value it can be insured but that does not matter in my case.....thanks
90% US silver coins selling by the bulk are considered bullion by the PO. Good luck in obtaining an insurance claim for those not mailed via Registered mail. (However, those that have a numismatic value of: ( I can't remember the % above bullion value) & sold accordingly i.e certified or non certified, would be considered non bullion, if they meet the % criteria.)
I was alluding to the money I wasted on insurance. I have spent hundreds of dollars insuring packages that are not. Not insured
Uncle Sam will always get his share, minus costs.

Am I reading this correctly? I sent coins, silver and gold, in Priority boxes, including bullion. So, am I understanding this correctly? I paid for insurance on those packages and wasn't insured?
I need regular insured mail? OR Registered? ......................I ask because it is expensive to ship.
Priority has $100 of insurance covered automatically. Otherwise unless you ship registered you are out of luck. If you are a dealer there are companies that will insured your packages if you double box, etc and follow all their shipping rules.
How many of your packages has the PO lost? Might want to consider self insurance except for the expensive items. I once calculated that self insure up to $700 or so, is the way to go. Numismatic items that are not bullion or cash (graded slabs) can be insured with the PO no problem. It's because the sell at a large premium to bullion value in the coin.

There's a firm bid for silver around, to be sure.
