I might have a problem. 1937 Proof Cent
I can't seem to stop buying '36-'42 proofs even though my set is complete.
Anyone want to join my support group?

36-42 proofs are very difficult in grades over 64. But some of my posted examples are deserving of more........some day.

Not a problem yet.

@ChrisH821... That coin is very nice... A great problem to have - enjoy it. Cheers, RickO
I understand why you have a problem but question whether it’s really a ‘problem’! I say carry on!
Don’t have any dupes (yet), but I love this era of proofs!

The addiction has befallen me too! Say @ChrisH821 that 1937 looks familiar
. Great coin!
Coin Photographer.
I've always been a fan of proofs from that era. Especially the cents and half dollars. I had a 1940 PR66 half at one time.
Thanks! Some very nice coins posted in here!
It would if you've been keeping eyes on the 'bay, which I know you do keep up with.![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/blush.png)
I think I have four 1937's now...

Yep! With OK but not great seller photos.

Nice coin.
I wish the Mint would have put the long tail on the seven in the date (like it should have).
That would make a great balance datewise.

Some day I would like to obtain the 1936-1942 Proof Lincoln Cents. The ones shared here are quite beautiful, thank you for sharing.

My Toned Lincoln Registry Set
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
You were my inspiration to collect toned proof Lincolns after I completed my proof IHC set. At first, I only wanted the 36-42 dates which are very difficult respective of grade. And then is continued up to 1958.
I have been lucky. Considering the rarity of 1936-1958 BN PR cents I completed my set in high grade when the market for these coins was low. It was a lot of fun, and in that process I accumulated a number of duplicates as I posted previously. Some of those coins have much greater eye appeal that those higher graded examples in my registry set.
But Winged Liberty deserves the credit for introducing us all to the very special toned coin market. Understand, that copper (bronze) tone very naturally, but not always. And those that do are more rare that coins graded RD. To me, a set of RD copper coins becomes boring........but a set of toned copper coins is special. Especially in the years 1936-1942.

Just love the warmth of copper proof glow. Thanks for sharing. Peace Roy
