Received on March 22 and grades were available May 11.
That was 35 business days....est. turn around is 40 days.
Some good news, the TrueViews were available right away with the grades.

Looks like things are improving for our hosts.

I’m hesitant to even send in anymore based on the feedback I keep seeing here which is consistent. Have probably 30 raw coins ready to go….I pay as much for service as I do for plastic.

Understood, but to maximize value to your collection and give them some protection from handling, keeping coins that merit grading raw just doesn’t cut it, in my opinion. As I see it, there are three viable choices:

    1. Send them to PCGS and recognize it’ll take longer than we’d like (but not as long as it was taking several months ago, as a consolation).
    2. Send them to NGC and recognize that the demand for them when selling might be less than if they were in PCGS plastic.
    3. Once CACG opens, have a dealer submit them on your behalf, recognizing there are at present a lot of unknowns - how will “the market” value them compared to the other TPG’s, how strict will they grade, and what will the turnaround be?

Sometimes people with raw coins with nice potential values avoid getting their coins graded by a TPG for fear of having the coins come back graded lower than the raw grade they paid for, or possibly come back as “Detailed”, or heaven forbid, come back as counterfeit.

Good luck with your decision. Doing nothing and keeping them raw is a decision. If you do get them graded by a TPG, let us know the results compared to your expectations.

By the way, you’re using a nice scenic photo. Honeymoon in Hawaii?

My best coin was an 1827 CBH cracked from an ICG holder graded AU50....came back AU58.....3 grade jump!

I knew that coin was better than a 50.

My first three grade jump ever.

    O-136 R-4

One of three Trade $1's came back questionable color which surprised me.

The other three were as expected.

Edited to add: Just in case you didn't believe me. 😉

That's real money grade, unlike the prior one, and an earlier Bust half in 58 too. Maybe try cac. I had an ICG graded Bust half AU55 go 58PL at NGC. There are a lot of series ICG is strict on such as cents.
