A new Morgan purchase

I purchased a very nice 1921 DMPL. I took a bunch of images today trying to get the right shots. I finally got a decent image. I wanted to post it so I could share it with you guys. I know it has a couple of zingers on the cheek but overall its a very nice coin.
The mirrors a very clear and deep. I think the cameo is also pretty nice. This is #2 for DMPL's in my collection.

The 21 is a difficult find in DMPL. Is the coin in a PCGS holder?

    Nice Morgan :)

I'm afraid that cheek hit will hurt the grade. Not sure it's DMPL either, but good luck.

I don’t think it’s a DMPL. I’ve submitted a Morgan before that I thought might be a DMPL and they didn’t even grade it as a PL. The coin shown looks much less like a DMPL than the one I submitted so that’s why I’m saying this.

Unusual look for a 1921 Morgan.
I bet it looks better in hand than your photos.

Yes it's a tough one to image. I imagine that's why pcgs TV's look different than the coin. They don't show reflection. Fortunately I do have slabbed coins I can use for comparison sake.
I do agree with you as being unusual look for a 1921. The strike is very very strong and honestly no polish lines. The surfaces are like water.
I like this for a DMPL. If I do decide to sell it one day I should have it slabbed. Otherwise I have my raw coins and my slabbed coins.
As a collector this is a great place to share our coins!

Nice reflectivity but looks a bit rough otherwise. In hand man. When you have to tilt coins to show the surface ...........usually they don't look like that in hand B)

I'm dying to see the results of this when you send it in to PCGS. Get it in!

Tough from a few pictures to tell if the coin is DMPL. I suspect if the coin truly was a DMPL it would be slabbed especially if purchased from a dealer. I suppose it’s possible to find an ungraded one if someone has a big pile of ungraded individual Morgans for sale.

Send it for grading. One reason is to protect it. The other is to protect it.

How much was the coin? I have always wanted a 21 in pl or dmpl
