    Nice gold coin and certainly a significant error. Are these as collectible as U.S. error coins? I believe I read somewhere that it is a much more limited market. Cheers, RickO

    Nice error! I tried to sell an error coin at the CSNS show, minor error with a PCGS slab and error notation on the label and there was no interest or such a low price offered to me that I would better off giving the coin to a YN. This coin was one of my earliest error coin purchases and considered my "tuition coin." Haunts me to this day....lol. I gotta get rid of this thing. Lesson learned for me, "never purchase and error coin unless the error is significant or you're going to be buried in it."

    I get where your coming from ....that said this error is significant on a significant denomination and gold at that. B)

    I wonder if these were intentionally released, as in they discovered the mistake but decided they were good enough to use.

    @air4mdc What was this minor error coin? Some errors are so minor or so common that there is little interest. Small clips or small off center Lincolns come to mind.

    EFLIX made me think of #%&-this. Perhaps someone wasn't too happy with their job or was disdainful of the coin for whatever or whom it represented.

    Or maybe I'm overthinking a bit too much. :blush:

    I would consider it a very minor error for sure, an indentation/ strike through about the size of a BB on an 2014 ASE. I overpaid, was new to errors, and it was my error tuition coin.
    I won’t ever make that mistake again.
    However, when it comes to gold , such as @bidask’s coin I may not listen to my own advice. It’s a nice coin for sure.
