It's been so long since I've been to a major show (Long Beach). The last time I went, the only cop on the premises was Byrd from Judge Judy.
(I found out then he is an avid collector too.)

Wow that is some flip! $800 for a quarter minted in 2020? I think you made the correct decision, pal. Go and buy something interesting!
So you walked these coins through for on-site grading? What was the thinking behind the 2010s? Are they worth slabbing? This has got to be expensive getting them back so quickly, right?
    Congrats

    Thanks! 😃
Yes, on-site. Well, the high grade 2010p cents in a ms 67 goes for $1200! I figure maybe one can hit? Of course, that was before my debacle of the condition I caused. Oh well, that's OK. Esp. what the W came back in. Made up for it. Then, yes. It was expensive. $70 per coin to grade. But for a 2 day turn around. Normally, it still would have been close to $30 per coin. Astonishing!
    Thanks bud. 😊

Show economy rate which is a 5 coin minimum, which I’m assuming Joey did because he had 5 coins, is $70 per coin. I submitted 2 coins, one was my 1799 for reholdering which cost me $35 and they got it done in 1 day.

The other coin I submitted (my 1878 $3 in 64cac) was a reconsideration and reholder. It cost $150 plus $10 handling, and the lady wrote on the form “reholder of coin doesn’t upgrade”: Well the coin didn’t upgrade to a + (even though it’s a better coin than most of the 64+ coins I’ve seen) and they sent it back without reholdering it, evidently they didn’t read her note. So now, I get to pay those fees for that coin and $40 shipping back to my house since it didn’t get done right. $200 down the drain. First and last time I’m ever playing game with PCGS.

    Day 3, Last Day!

    Well, what a Show!
The last day was the BEST!
Not only did I get to pick up my coins from submission. But also, got to say goodbye to some dealer friends, as well as, meet some more awesome people. Then, back to the coin aspect. Got to Flip my "W" Rockefeller quickly to the same gentleman that bought my 2020W Tallgrass Prairie ms 67, 2 years ago! Then finally, selling a few more coins of mine to pick up some more CASH!!!
This was probably my best coin show in quite sometime? Everything seemed to work out for me, except the darn 2010 cent issue! 😬
What happened in the long run, medicated it!
    :D
Thank you, everyone who got involved in my Coin Show thread.
    Love ya ALL!

    Dan, I don't get it.
They screwed up by not reholdering the coin and you got stuck with now having them do it for extra money, plus now the shipping charge? All because "THEY" screwed up?

In all fairness, they are not charging me again for the reholdering, I just now have to pay for return shipping because they had to send it back again and it wouldn't be done in time before I had to leave the show. If it had been reholdered, I would have saved $40 shipping or something like that. I asked the employee if I had to pay again, and she said "no its ok ill take care of it". The reason I had to do it like this vs a Regrade was because the coin was CAC in a normal blue holder but no gold shield or true view. I wanted the true view for this one, and I wanted to keep the cert # the same so that it wasn't a PITA to get the CAC sticker back on it.

The original lady I spoke with said that I could do reconsideration and she wrote a note on the form to "Reholder anyway if coin doesn't upgrade", those instructions were not followed. Im not one to waste money on grading fess, but I thought the coin was really strong for the grade and even though it was $150 service fee, I needed it reholdered anyway so in my mind it was $125 for a reconsideration and $25 for a reholder, and I wouldn't have to spend money on shipping fees. If the coin would have upgraded, it would have been worth almost $2000 more. Lesson learned, oh well.

Ok, still kinda sad that they didn't read the note.
Glad you didn't have to pay for the whole thing again
You should be entitaled to a $40 or whatever it costs for shipping credit.
