1969s DDO RD Lincoln pennies

I have 1969s DDO RD Lincoln pennies that I just found in my old piggy bank. They are going to PCGS the the auction house.

I don't know your experience level, but are you sure they are doubled dies? Just because there is doubling does not mean doubled die, there are several types of doubling. If you post clear close-up pictures, I am sure someone will help you determine what you have. What does the C.A.M on the holder indicate?

  • Thank you for your help . I am a true amateur and only discovered that I had the coins a month ago. They have been determined to be doubled die obverse and are headed to PCGS to get graded then Great Collections Auction house. There are 6 total 2 RD 2RB 2 B IN THE 1969S PLUS another 100 high grade Lincoln pennies 1959-1999.

I was given them as tips when I was a busboy at a restaurant in high-school and I kept them in a jar never knowing that they were what they are, a high end coin collection.

    I would take @MFeld advice.

Your coins are NOT doubled dies of any sort, and certainly not the valuable ones.

If they are already on their way to PCGS, you are going to be very disappointed.

One of the most common dates for the very common effect of mechanical or ejection doubling
As noted in numerous posts above your coin is not a doubled die coin at all, unfortunately

Those are good pictures, and enable us to conclusively tell you that there are no doubled die coins that you have shown. Do not waste your money submitting them. Cheers, RickO

Who authenticated them? Are you coordinating with a dealer to submit them or did you open your own PCGS account?

Also, you say you have 6? What? Finding one is odds similar to winning the powerball.

You have heard from many experts in the posts above...

    Good luck

Your pictures of your 1969-S cents are more than good enough to determine that they aren’t DDO examples.

Your photo are enough to see what here we will respond.
    1. Nothing show that a coin has doubling. In fact are only two DDO's
    2. Do GC accepted your coins??
    3. After xxx No of rolls, 2 bags and more then 150 uncirculated sets, I still not have an MS 67.

IMHO: your money, your choice, but certify those coins you waste.

I do not know who determinate this, but if "friend" = change. If Others = change.
