New type set for each time a design changed? I love that idea! Might have to start working on this myself 🤔

You didn’t break out ‘43 on its own for the steel cent?

Well 43 cents were just a composition change - no design change, I'm guessing?

The steel cent was not a design change.

I think the war years design change is the nickel.

I love that. I really wish someone would build a type album by Era not denomination. You could have a page per Era and then if don't want to include the early stuff just don't add the page

True. I do like how the 43 set looks, though. Maybe in my version I’ll just use the steel cent for the war years?

What about the shell casing cents from 1944-1946?

I was going for design changes

@Russell12 I got that and you've got a neat collection of sets. I was meaning for @steve_richardson that was including the steel cent.

You could include half dimes in the 5c slot,
and also 1859 could be a single year type,
as both the obverses and reverses of the half dime and dime changed in 1860.

Bowers put together plastic Capital holders of types based on era some years ago. I have my slabbed types organized by era in display trays. Makes sense, especially economically.

@Russell12 ... Very nice collection and theme.... Not many have a full set of blank planchets. Cheers, RickO

Ah, you dodged a bullet by not including the 1856... where that flying eagle cent would have given you some grief!
