Is this what they mean by railroad rim?

I found these coins in a Coinstar machine reject bin at lunchtime. Is the rim of the 2 cent euro coin a “railroad rim” or is something else going on there?

No. All 2 cent euro coins have that feature.

Ok thanks. I’m not familiar with Euro coins and didn’t know what that was

That is normal for the 2 cent Euro coins. The railroad rim, from my understanding, is an offset on the rim, making it look like a train wheel. I found one once, but have no clue where it is.

Railroad rim refers to the form of the coin rim as compared to a train wheel, not the train tracks. Cheers, RickO
