Tennesee did not pick a qb, speculation was that they would take Hooker out of Tennessee with their 1rst rounder. They did not. Confident in Tannehill who had a rough season and getting longer in the tooth? Will Hooker last to 41, Tenn's 2nd rounder and will they pick him there? Hm........

Seahawks on the clock. Will they pick Levis or risk having only Smith? I am betting they are thinking hard on Levis, right coaching might bring out his best.

Hawks go for WR from OSU, so they are confident in Geno for at least the next couple years. Means Levis and Hooker drop further down and into the 2nd round unless Dallas picks a qb, the rest of the 1rst pickers have their qb's.................

My thoughts on the draft so far…………
How low in the draft do you have to go to avoid a way too long hug from Roger Goodell?
Does he hug them all or is there a point where the hugs stop?
There has to be a magic spot in the draft where you don’t go all that low but manage to avoid a 10 second hug from an old man with bad breath.

I am no Goodell fan, but his age and breath are not on my radar. Lol.

It's all fun for you, huh, Darin, now that you are at the top! My Pats will be back!!!!! 👀

I would love to see one of the players refuse the awkward commish hug and extend his hand for a handshake. 😆

With three first-round selections (C.J. Stroud, Paris Johnson Jr., and Jaxon Smith-Njigba) the Buckeyes became the first school in the history of the NFL draft with 90 players selected in the history of the initial round.

    Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

Halfway through the first round and Will Levis still hasn't been picked yet, Mel Kiper is looking pretty foolish right about now.

It has been stated that he is a big qb with a big arm but a 'project'. Maybe teams aren't willing to invest that high in a project? We will see where he goes.

Levis slides into the 2nd round, wow. A lot of people predicted Levis to go in the top 4 or 5, I thought he would get picked last night for sure. He didn't look too thrilled.

We did not need a WR. I was hoping for an OL or DB.

4 WR's picked in a row and the Vikes were 4th, so they must see something there. The best 3 CB's were gone by then, as were the best 4 OT's, so maybe Vikes went for best available?

Seattle and LA Rams are at #5 and 6 in 2nd round, so 2 possible spots for Levis at top in 2nd. Maybe the Rams are in the Trey Lance sweepstakes (?), but he can't keep on the field bc of injuries. But they need young QB on their roster.

Will Hooker go to Tennesee at #10? If Levis is available at 10 will they instead buck the state of Tenn and go for a Kentuckian?

no way the Seahawks draft a QB unless they plan on trading Geno or Drew lock, they just signed Geno and Lock , and No way I see Pete paying to keep 3 qbs on the roster this year, if so what's next 3 kickers on a roster.

Supposedly some teams have concerns about his foot/toe that was injured in college and believe that it will require surgery. He went probably about where he should of maybe a little high. Hes got the frame and tools but average college QBs dont become NFL studs.

My condolences to Colts fans though taking AR at 4. He was the worst QB in the SEC aside from Auburn. Theres some wild stat that he has the most missed throws to WRs open by 5 yards or more in all of college or at least the power 5. Unless the Colts have a magical QB whisperer that can teach him how to actually be accurate they drafted a work out monster that would be more valuable as a WR or on a track and field team. Levis foot may have been what got them to go with AR though.

2 RBs in the top 12 was wild too

It was a reddit post that he was telling people he was going to be picked first overall as silly as that sounds that got it started. And he may have been, he may have thought that as well or his agent was telling him bad info. He clearly thought he would be first round or he wouldnt have been there. Given that the dolphins didnt have a first round pick him getting picked at 33 really was the first pick of the 2nd round so he just missed it. That would have been a record for a conference to have 3 QBs in the first round had he been picked a little sooner. Obviously the gamble worked for Tennessee letting him slide, they got their OT and now got Levis much cheaper and is much less of a risk as a second rounder

I'm not sure anyone knows what GB is doing. They took Van Ness 13th overall who wasnt even a starter which is just crazy to take a back up that high.

I just thought it funny that Arod fought with them to get him some offensive help in recent years and this time they grabbed multiple offensive weapons after he's gone lol. They're taking care of Jordan Love though.

Philly had an incredible first day. Got two monsters that both should have been drafted higher than they were. It is funny that the Eagles entire strategy seems to just be rebuilding GA defenses,

As good as Bijon is I dont understand ATL taking him at 8. They have much bigger needs than RB.

It is funny, and the funnier part is there were better WRs on the board than the one they took. They have to get Love a lot of help, hes just simply not very good and wasnt very good in college either. He was always a very weird pick for an average QB from the Mountain West conference

They keep talking about his potential but the lack of accuracy is an issue as you note. But it seemed all of the QB's in this draft were risks. Accuracy can be worked in with practice, practice, practice. But does he have the work ethic to take the time it will need? Time will tell. If they throw into starting right away, it might be detrimental to his long term success.............

His potential is that he is good at working out. He was average at best being nice at FL which is a major big time program that has won multiple national championships in the last 20 years. He had every possible resource available and all the reps and nothing improved. His passing was terrible, it was a very crazy pick because he can jump high and run fast at the combine. First rounders especially top 10 and really especially top 5 are expected to start immediately.

He was arguably the worst QB in the SEC aside from Auburn and somehow went 4th overall. The Colts may have felt they had to take a QB and picked him. If I was playing a video game like Madden AR15 would be the QB I want to play with. The physical numbers are there, hes just not good

"Ohio State Buckeyes OT Dawand Jones Selected BY Cleveland Browns With No. 111 Pick" - crazy size stated as 6'8" - 375 pounds (some say 400). If he doesn't make it in the NFL he can always go to the WWE.

His size alone is an injury concern just like the TE Washington from GA. I wouldnt be shocked if they try and take some weight off him or if he ends up as a guard at some point. You dont really need to worry about someone running him over though so I think theyd be happy even if they only got a couple good seasons out of him

The elite rushers generally get to test the Oline and then pick who they want to match up on and everyone else adjusts. Most schemes will likely put speed guys on him if hes starting. There is a diminishing return on size which will likely mean theres only a couple years for him as a starter, but the Browns went all in on Watson and are in win now mode so a couple years would be good enough. Weird draft for them not having picks in the first two rounds but that was a chance to take there to help the line and they arent worried about long term anyways.

Tillman coming off an injury as WR has a lot of upside too if hes can get healthy.

It wasnt quite that dramatic for that long but all started with a reddit report and the funny secret is most of the "experts" just browse reddit and college message boards for their "sources". Some of them do have sources for sure and are better than others but the ones that made a ton off the betting are the casinos and sports books.

There likely is some truth that the Colts would have taken him is AR15 had been picked already, but Young stopped meeting with teams or doing interviews several days before the draft signaling he knew where he was going

Seeing all of the UDFAs (UnDrafted Free Agents), why don't they go back to having more rounds? Since the NFL would make more $ broadcasting another round or two, I'm surprised they don't jump on that. It would also make UDFAs less of a free-for-all.

Its probably because a very small number of 6th-7th round picks turn out to be real NFL players and adding more rounds ,which means doling out more guaranteed money, is something the owners wouldn't want to do. Even if they did add more rounds you'd still have whoever didn't get drafted becoming a UDFA immediately after the draft anyways.

New England has had a UDFA make their roster every season for 18 years. I honestly think its just Belichick's way of adding a player or two to their roster for the least amount of salary as possible.

The first round is really the only one that makes the NFL money in terms of eyes. Once you get past and especially by 5 or 6 no one would be watching on TV. Its actually better for the player to go undrafted if youre going to be a 6th or 7th round pick as you can then choose where to go based off of fit and what teams are interested. By this point guys are basically just practice squad at best anyways so let them pick where theyd like to do that for the ones that would have interest

Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
