1855 WASS, MOLITOR & CO. $50 Uniface copy added to my "gold" slug collection

This was a inexpensive pickup on ebay under $10. I know it's a copy but wondering does anyone know the story behind it. I'm thinking 1950s or 60s. It's uniface bit has a reeded edge. Sellers pics for now. Came today.

    That is interesting.... Never saw one like that. Good for a belt buckle or one sided jewelry. Cheers, RickO

    RickO I did think about that possibility that these were struck for the purpose of a decorative piece. Find it neat though.
