I was going through some Morgan's on ebay. I don't usually look for 1878 or 1879 because I have a few nice coins in that date.
I do keep an eye out for 1878 Rev 79.
Low and behold this was listed as an 1878 but as you can see its an 1878 with 79 reverse.
I think it was a good pick up for $80.
The obverse looks a little PL. The reverse not so much. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Assuming there are no hidden problems, $80 sounds like a very good price.

Very nice pickup, my man! I would guess it would probably straight grade as an MS63. The reverse looks 65, but the obverse hits on the cheek and the rub over the UN in UNUM, I think would keep it at 63. Here is my 63 for comparison.
Anyway, if it grades 63, it's a $500+ coin, so good eye catching that one!
