I hunt and find coins at the Coin Star routinely as there is 3 Coin Star machines within a block and a quarter distance on my normal route. (I feed some stray cats at the Home Depot by my house and stop at the coin stars on the way...) I live in a fairly small town outside of the Silicon Valley in CA, there are still farms in the area.

So, this adventure started on Good Friday, I found a 1964D Rosie. Nice but not uncommon to find a dime and 64 at that. (Photos to follow)
Saturday my daughter wanted a ride to her friend's house, on the way back I hit the coin stars, and this time (on the floor) was a 1943S War Nickel. Not very pretty, but this was rare as I never found a War Nickel ever previously.
On Easter Sunday my wife asked me to go to the store to pick up some last-minute needs for dinner. There it was in the return a bright and shiny 1964D quarter. Now I have found quatres before, but they are few and far between. Nice find for Easter!
Well today on my way home from the bank (getting quarter rolls) I made a stop and there it was a bright and shiny 1964D Kennedy Silver Half Dollar!! To top it off, there was also a 1940 Lincoln wheatie!! So, in 4 days, I found silver in each denomination!

Sorry, I just wanted to share this as I don't know if this will ever happen again, See photos. and thanks for the view.

Friday, 1964D Dime (at the bottom)

Saturday 1943S War Nickel

Easter Sunday, a shiny 1964D quarter

And today, a 1964D Kennedy Half (solo) and then the whole batch with the 1940 Lincoln.

    Joe,
Far and away, you find the most silver in Coinstars than all of us combined. You must live righteously!

Thanks, but I give more credit to the people that leave it behind Actually, I find more foreign currency then silver. Would you like to buy some Canadian coins, Paseo, Yen? And I could vacuum my car for a year!

We also have adopted some feral cats in our backyard. 5 to be exact. Am sure your care for the HD cats is appreciated.

So that's where my Tortoise shell cat gets her food when she goes off on her 3-week excursions.

This cat has almost exactly the same coat, right down to the white paw and subapical white spot on her tail.

@Joe_360 ... Nice silver finds... And all the rest of the coins as well. My Coinstar machines have been barren lately... Nice cats and glad they have you as benefactor. We have two cats, but they stay in the house. Cheers, RickO

Thanks. We have two cats (in-door) also, a Scottish Fold (Maya) and a Short hair Taby (Toby). My wife and I tried to rescue Kelly, but she is too smart and stubborn.

Not sure what to do with the foreign currency?

She has one or two white whiskers as well. This is the second Tortie I've seen that closely resembles our cat.

We have a reverse situation at our house. We have at least three cats that visit our house(primarily in the dead of winter). they eat much of our cat Elliot's food and then sleep on the chairs in our dining room during blizzards. My daughter Allison has named one grey cat with a pushed in face Gandalf. My wife claims we are running a bed and breakfast for cats.
Elliot(my 16 year old ginger cat) ignores them, but Belle my Papillon considers this an outrage and tells them quite vocally. they ignore her. James
