NGCX is their new 10-point scale. Here is NGC's webpage for more info.

@LJenkins11 Thanks for the link to the info. Really interesting too.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

This most likely came out of one of the VaultBoxes. Here is link for more information:

100 point scale and just marketing BS.
Definitely did not come out of the VB. They have custom holders.
Do we still have the choice of either 1-70 or 1 to 10.0 ?
No better or worse than the old 40 point scale.
Why have a value listed with nothing to compare it to
It's comparable to an MS 69.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Way, way worse as it adds confusion to the hobby.
oh so it is super super common. Should be worth less than melt because someone has to do the labor of removing the plastic hype.
Solid buyers pitch![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Only for moderns glad they’re not screwing up everything
In the military we would have new unit commanders come in and they felt they just had to change something. So even if it wasn't broke, they would break it just to take credit for the hype of the the perceived improvement. Is this a way that other TPG's will have to change to this 100 point system verse the 70 point system just to keep up with the Jones and feel like they are staying competitive.

Effectively, it's their new 2-point scale, which goes from 9.9 to 10.

now that is fricking funny
Yeah, because the idea of a "perfect 10" is brand new. Works in the 900 other collectible markets. I'm pretty sure fewer people are confused by a 9.9 than were confused by a 69.
Tell us how you really feel..........................
So you have 358 NGC holdered coins listed right now on your ebay store site and you are ripping into them on the PCGS boards? Hmm..................
Well... There could also be a 9.99 or a 9.98..... Just the next evolutionary step in finite grading. Cheers, RickO
I have ZERO NGC X Holders and never will.
IMO, NGC is hurting their excellent name with the X marketing hype. X should sell on TV.

This is a good and valid point. I also find it strangely funny that any criticism of errors is met with derision by @ctf_error_coins who seems all too ready to criticize others. Nothing new and expected from members here, I guess, and part of what makes this place interesting.
Like it.
Interesting and they give their MV for it.
It looks nice plus MV below slab cost. That’s another one I would buy at or near slab cost.
Yep. Don't buy NGCX slabs.![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with b.s (1984)
I understand your point and thanks for clarifying, but I would say that there are alot of issues about going to a 10 point grading scale, it might be valid, it might not, time will tell...........
