Found 50 or so of these in a box of new 2023 quarters. Worth Keeping? Any value? Looks like feeder finger damage to the die.

Looks like feeder finger damage to the die.

I have hard time with this for 2023 coins. What it is P, D or S?

I'm not 100% sold on feeder finger origin. Perhaps trail dies? https://www.traildies.com/the-theory-of-trail-formation/

    They are all Philadelphia mint.

    They’re not feeder feeder scrapes

As SP noted above, they look closer to “trail dies”

Ok, thanks. Are these common? Worth holding onto?

Up until I retired last year, I’ve never heard of a trail die coin being sold – I put a few Presidential dollars that had minor trail die issues on eBay a few years ago and they only brought a few dollars - every coin struck from those dies will exhibit that effect, so they’re relatively easy to find if you want to – I don’t think they would have much value, but you could always try eBay

Thanks Fred to resolve this chimera (something made up of parts of things that are very different from each other) of the Feeder Fingers on the most coins. Glad to come here and see you still be with the life passion. Shalom.

@SHAWNK4368 - I have a couple of 1972-S Ike silver business strike trail die coins, and a couple of Eisenhower presidential silver medal trail die coins. Your find might carry a small premium with a collector in this niche..if you can find them. My recommendation would be to contact the folks at the trail dies site that I linked above, then try to get it listed there. Then, if listed, maybe you find a niche collector. ps - I see nothing recent listed for Washington quarters: https://www.traildies.com/washington-quarter-trail-dies/

No question, trail dies. Here is a great explanation.
