Looks like a legit partial unplated planchet to me

Its probably worth around $100. Grading cost would eat a large part of its value, but to protect the exposed zinc it might be wise to send to ANACS for slabbing.

Yep... Portions of cent not plated. While slabbing fees would eat into any premium, the encapsulation would protect the zinc surface from rapid degradation. Cheers, RickO

It is either incomplete coverage by the copper or environmental damage.

Zinc is more reactive. Hard to remove that much cooler without the zinc pitting
It's a pretty cool looking coin. Don't know if it matters but it came from a Uncirculated roll.
