Not until they open for grading, and from what i've heard it may be May/June. Originally JA stated that he planned to allow members to have 20 submissions per year at the $16 rate, but that was months ago and I don't know if that's still the plan.

Some sort of update from CAC would be greatly appreciated. Can collectors with memberships still submit? Is it 35 dollars per coin pass or fail? Or just the ones that pass?

Poor customer service can weaken the brand.

It would be nice to have a membership. I don't really buy coins without the sticker...............

I will because there are lots of certified coins that would sticker, but it’s just so hard to get one now.

I agree that there are many coins avaiable, but the 2 reasons I don't are because I'm not a member and the biggest reason is SHIPPING.
So I'll just find the coins already stickered and if they pass MY approval I'll buy?bid on them

JA has said that he will not offer the 20 coins at $16 (which if I recall will only be offered to collectors) until CACG is up and going. But as already noted that info was given months ago and I do not know if it will still happen, although I sure hope it will. With all that is happing at the moment there is no way that CAC is going to open up the memberships, that would only start a new flood of work that CAC is not prepared to handle. Everyone just has to be happy with the $35 per coin fee or simply wait, it sucks but it is what it is.

Unfortunately many of the CAC forum members (as well as here) kept telling JA to get rid of the $16 tier and raise prices, sadly he listened.

I’ve called several times as late, and CAC’s customer service is great. I will tell you I’ve been told:
    1) JA plans to still give the sticker for 10 years
    2) why not just skip the sticker and just wait for the new holder

Have you tried contacting them? Their customer service is excellent.

You mean posting a question on a separate corporate message board doesn't count as contact?

1 reason that I can think of is that CACG might not go into PCGS registry sets

Forget about $16 submissions, customer service told me months ago that they were most likely going to keep the $35 tier permanent. And don’t think there will be necessarily 10 years of stickering. CAC will be plenty busy with CACG. I expect we will be lucky to have 1 more year.

This is from the CAC forum in Jan:

I have not heard or seen anything in writing that would indicate any change to the 20 coin limit at the $16 tier has changed, perhaps the rep you spoke to is not aware of this limited option, or perhaps he/she did not fully understand your question with regards to the $16 tier.

The future longevity of CAC stickering is directly tied to JA working that part of the business. He said many months ago at the time of the public announcement of CACG that he will keep the stickering operation going for UP TO 10 years. I believe there are several “moving parts” in JA ultimately determining down the road on when (and I hope “if”) the plug is pulled on stickering.

I would expect a major campaign for the new service when launched.... and that would also include relevant details regarding all available services/costs. Cheers, RickO

I'm convinced that will happen, but I believe there will first be some kind of a "soft" opening. As such, we don't know exactly at what stage those details will be announced, but no doubt it will be no later than when it opens up for "regular" business, if not sooner.

I wonder when their CACG (their new grading service) will come out and curious what they will be trading for.

Setting up a new Third Party Grading service must be extremely time consuming. Intake (USPS), security, data storage, Photography, supply chain, storage, shipping (outtake), Hiring staff, public relations, marketing etc.... This may take awhile to do it right.

I agree, but I don't hide my age, 72. I still feel I'm mentally sharp (although maybe I'm just fooling myself, lol).

For those youngsters reading this, if you have no idea about my quote above in bold, google it!

The CAC slab should be THE destination for RAW COINS!
They will either slab or not.
    BUT.....
There won't be a trail to whether or not it passed.
Knocking off the assumptions of non stickered NGC and PCGS as "unworthy" has been a bane of the hobby for a long time.

There is also an old time radio station on the SiriusXM app that play the original Shadow shows as well as 100’s of other radio shows from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and even the 60’s.

Okay, that's how I am going to claim being familiar with the phrase...
