April 18, 2023 is another opportunity to retell the stories of phenomenal Americans such Harriet Tubman and the Greatest Generation through commemorative coins. I have the honor to Chair the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) which will be holding a Public meeting on April 18, 2023. As outlined in the attachment, participation is possible via phone or, if you are in the Washington, DC area, in person.

Your questions and participation will continue to demonstrate to the CCAC and the US Mint of the continuing interest of Americans and numismatists in circulating and commemorative coins of the United States. Just as important, your suggestions and questions via the CCAC email (Info@CCAC.gov) support sharing stories of inclusion and diversity through the stories and the art on the canvas of a coin. Because of you, since last year and continuing to 2025, we have the American Womens Quarter program with the first quarter in 2023 celebrating Bessie Coleman, a woman of African and Native American descent who was the first woman to receive an international pilot license.

Keep the questions coming and bring the popcorn as you hear the stories that deserve to be shared with family, friends, and colleagues.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the CCAC and to send comments about the items on the agenda for review.

    Thanks

Thanks for your comments. Foe the remaining of my term as Chair, my objective is to do whatever I can to increase the awareness of the public and the numismatic community in the role of the CCAC.

Afterall, the CCAC is a critical component to respond to the interests of the public and coin collectors.

    Best regards,
