In my opinion, nothing wrong with pointing out that this coin is very common. We'd like to know more, though about why it's your favorite. Perhaps a gift? A birth year of someone special?
Or maybe you believe it to be the doubled die like so many other new collectors. In which case, we'd like to steer you away from that thought.

It's my favorite because it is the last year of the wheat cent, and the color of it stands out among all the other red Wheaties I have. It looks more red than any of my others. But I do have another that has doubling on Lincolns mouth & eye. A 1958 also.
Do you have any 2x2 holders or plastic flips to put your coins into? That is a nice, bright red Lincoln but it won't stay like that if left exposed to the air/humidity etc.

I found this Jefferson nickel in my change back in 2011, that came out of a vending machine. I thought it was really pretty, so I spent $25 (if I remember correctly) to get it graded at PCGS and it came back MS64! Even though it's only valued at $15, I have no regrets slabbing it, so now it will be protected for the future generations.

Ah, the year your grandfather was born?

Uncirculated 1958 cents are pretty common.

Lucky for the OP, it is a 1958, not 1959. It’s the OP’s favorite coin; therefore, the point that the coin is common is not relevant.
Why not? If it is his favorite wouldn't you think he would like some info on it? I know I would!

Enjoy it!

60+ year old red copper is nice to see.
Why is it your favorite?
Very nice cent in MS condition. Enjoy it, protect it with a holder. Cheers, RickO

As all us 65 year olds would say; "Damn fine year!".

I love Wheat Cents. They inspired my interest in collecting a long time ago.

I have the cardboard ones that you fold in half. I keep them wrapped in white cotton and all the air out of a zip lock.
