Got a key date in my PCGS G06 Matron Cents Set!

RLSnapperRLSnapper Posts: 581 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have been patient waiting for G06...not buying the many G04 that have tempted me and my patience has been rewarded with this pretty lady. !821 is a tough date and very pricey above F12. I paid a strong price for this coin but find another anytime soon. Four down twenty more to go! Let me know what you think!

Tough date for sure, and the price does increase sharply with grade.

    Excellent pickup!

I have been looking at Matron cents, I bought several of them in circulated grades for $3 each when I was a kid - it is shocking how much they have appreciated in value since then. But crazily with the 1816-1820 in AU-BU they are rather affordable for the grade given how many came from the Randall hoard.

Yep, they are considerably more scarce after that, until the mid-1830’s.
Great looking example, @RLSnapper, and a popular date for sure.
