Recently received these sweet images of my new 1814 bust half...
I've seen some cool photoshop edits where nearby color can be applied over another area.
Wondering if that could work to hide the NGC prongs?
Have at it 😄

Here’s a quick attempt I just did with your lower res image. Only I couldn’t find my stylus pen so I had to do it with my finger. I did this with the Magic Eraser in Pixelcuts with my finger on my iPad. If I had my stylus pen thingy it would come out better. It took seconds to do this one. I plan on cleaning up my desk later today. If I find my stylus I’ll come back and do it over if no one else fixes it for you

    Mr Spud, that fantastic!!
We're off to a great start folks 👍
The reverse looks a little tougher.. the prongs are a tad more pronounced on that side 🤔

I still can’t find my stylus thingy. Here’s a quick one I did with my finger with the Magic Eraser function in Pixelcut. This can set the bar to see if someone else can do better with Photoshop or some other editor. I’m thinking the reverse top right would need the cloning thing to make the rim look better.

Great work @Mr_Spud! It looks great!

I don't have experience with this and have been wondering if we can ask ChatGPT to do this for us :)

Mr. Spud nailed it.. all except for one detail... beggars can't be choosers but white borders look better on the mobile version of the forum IMHO 😅

I really don't think it needs to be any better, I'm amazed that you did that with your finger 💥

I left a teeny tiny border of black or the rim ends up looking damaged, but here you go with a white background. For the record, I cut out the circular image with an app called Xircle and it lets you pick the black or white or any other color you want. It takes about 30 seconds. Then for the side by side image I used the collage tool in Photoshop Express and that too takes about 30 seconds. I tend to use just the easiest quickest editing tools from just about 4 apps for all my photo editing and just do it on my phone or iPad typically just using my finger on the touch screens.

    I love that method Spud!
It's been many years since I've had an actual computer, its all on the phone nowadays... and my phone is in dire need of replacing at that!
    Thanks so much!
Its really nice to see without those dang prongs 😍

    What's your grade guess??

  • Mr_SpudMr_Spud Posts: 5,835 ✭✭✭✭✭

    I’ll guess it’s a 58+Star

Lance photographs so many 58+ bust halves... maybe his camera turned this into one??
