CoiNFacts Error, #5

Eisenhower $1 1776-1976 P Bicentennial, Type 1.
Auction Record, $28,000.
But this coin should not be in this list. The price is misleading, because it was overstruck on a Bicentennial $.25 planchet.
The "real" auction record may be $5640.00 for a different coin.

Yep... That listing needs 'adjustment'

There are TWO "overstruck" entries in the "Auctions - NGC Graded" data for PCGS #7418.

This is the one you detected; here is the other.
Have you been reporting these errors to PCGS?
Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions.
Yes! Formerly @HeatherBoyd. Now @PCGS_Moderator.
Yes MetroD. And perhaps the second one should be removed also. I was focused on the Auction Record coin.
Yep.
The entry I highlighted is currently the second highest "price" in the auction data for PCGS #7418.

It is also "overstruck". In fact, it is the same coin (i.e., NGC cert #2009052-001).
IF PCGS is going to remove "error" entries from their auction data, which I believe is your objective, they might as well address both entries at the same time (i.e., JAN-2014 and AUG-2014). Otherwise, the second "overstruck" entry is just going to move into the "auction record" slot.
