2019-P American Innovation $1 DE question (color, weight)

Hello

I'm unrolling some 2019-P Deleware dollars and noticed 2 in the roll which seemed to be redder than the others and slightly lighter in weight; both 8.05g compared to their brassier counterparts at exactly 8.10g.

They are the 2 on top in this photo.

I tried to find acceptable weight variances for this coin but couldn't find them.

Is this natural toning with acceptable weight variances, or something else? Assuming the former but wanted to confirm with the forum.

Thanks!

My experience with these “golden dollars “ is spots and various color shades are kinda common. Others will have perhaps more details.

@tahbb143... The weight is one half gram less than standard weight.. within tolerance... and the tarnish appears natural from environmental factors. Cheers, Ricko

The metal composition of these coins makes them more prone to discolorations and environmental damage.

    Oh interesting!

I'm leaving my 2018s cased and in-roll, but was breaking open my 2019 Ps as the P-minted ones generally look terrible compared to D-minted AIs and I figured I wasn't losing considerable money by opening them

I’ve got every dang issue in OGP and certified. Tough , do to spotting. Plus, their not popular. The 2021 proof AI,s , graded, seems to be doing well ( the one year I don’t have graded examples). I really like a number of the designs but have no illusions about their value. Not when, for some reason, there’s 2022,s in pf 69 being won at auction for $30 or less. At a release cost of $24 , well there is that. Pcgs examples. One set just went for $26 all in 🙃.
You might enjoy becoming familiar with the eBay search feature as there’s a wide variety of golden dollars.
