I agree; I don't like reverse proofs much at all.

I would put them in the novelty category and agree they often don’t work. However, I think the Mexican Libertad reverse proofs are quite stunning.

I absolutely love them. Very beautiful designs out there. I’ve got 06 ase 2011 ase. I’ve got Buffalo rounds and Maple Leafs ( chech some of those out , might like those reverses). Dang, that’s one of my favorite collecting desires. Love ase enhanced uncirculated 2013. Wow , so much of a focus. What about the 2021 type 2 reverse proof? No like? How about the Libertads? No.
Oh well, it’s been said many many times here, collect what you like.

I agree with everyone. Not all formats work equally well for all coins. Regular proofs aren't always good either. And some coins don't work as a business strike.

A short video at West Point making reverse proof cents. No mention of how they make dies.

I’m so proud of my 2006 and 2011. I can barely believe my eyes. You have a way of inspiring me to bigger and better things. Thanks very much buddy.

It's just my humble opinion, but I don't care for them.

It took me a while to warm up to RP. To me, they are much better in person, pix never do them justice.
I wish I picked up an RP gold buffalo but I didnt think I was even aware of them at the time (or had a bias against the finish), and didnt have the bank for 1. Maybe some day ...

When Reverse Proofs first started, it was a coin here and a coin there. I was hoping that the Mint would do a full proof set. When a silver set came out in 2019 , I of course got one. I also have a few Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof sets. I like them but some designs look better than others.

I have no problem with a bit of experimentation, fun, making money, or whatever the mint was trying to do with Reverse Proofs.

I absolutely loooove reverse proofs, I've got a few  ...it was the Innovation dollars that got me hooked...
A few weeks ago I bought a pile of them from my buddy at the LCS just as he bought them off someone coming in

Here's the pile I just bought...and the original Innovation dollar (my first reverse proof purchase) that initially captured me...and then my second one...then I was doomed lol...

The 2018 reverse proof are doing quite well on eBay as is the 2021 proof 4- coin set, graded in 69 or up. I’m holding 3-4 of the 2018 and ofcourse the 2021 set is the one year I don’t have 😁. Graded. I’ve got em all but that one. Sitting deep. In what, I’m not certain
