Have you ever seen someone...

gumby1234gumby1234 Posts: 5,589 ✭✭✭✭✭

Have you ever seen someone that looks like a portrait thats on a coin? Theres a young woman that works at a local coffee shop. I see her almost daily. She looks just like the obv of a PEACE dollar. Every time i see her thats all i can think about. I haven't mentioned it to her because she might think I'm a creep or something.

    Saw a guy last night on TV that has a nose just like a guy on an old 20th century German coin.

    gumby1234, maybe you could just show her a Peace Dollar and say how much that she looks like it, or maybe like Wow you really look like this coin I have.

    @1Bufffan I thought about that.

    Suggestion.... Take a Peace Dollar to the coffee shop and show it to the waitress...... And tell her your thoughts!... She will be flattered! You will be on first base Buddy!...Guaranteed!

    And,....I don't think Peace Dollars is the only thing you're thinking about when you see her.....🤔

    It is March forth.

    Just don't offer to spend her too early.

    And don't give her a tiara and ask her to hold her head out the car window.

    Be cool. B)

    Before I retired there was a young woman at work that looked like the Young Head Queen Victoria portrait. Wore her hair the same way.

    Other than the guy who goes to coin shows dressed and bearded like Abraham Lincoln, no.... I never even thought of such a comparison. I will have to start observing from that perspective. Cheers, RickO

    For a Peace Dollar lookalike that is a high compliment, but you wouldn't wan to do that for every coin :D

    Not at all, last time I noticed we are still allowed to think on our own. Now if he starts following her around and looking in her windows at night then THAT"S a "Creep" (and maybe a felon :D )

    Well, a wife mitigates a ton of the "dirty old man" factor. First, ask your wife if she agrees. If yes, either ask your wife to show her the coin or to take a picture of her. I think women tend to be perceived as less threatening in this sort of situation.

    The face isn’t too bad, but that hand? Yikes. Looks like something my nephew drew.
