What about 26 PCGS MS64 CAC 1904 double eagles in next week's Stack Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction.

Bet you can get a fantastic buy, but what is the strategy? Go for an early lot, wait till the end or...?

One time in a similar situation I tried lowball bids on multiple similar ones like that with no expectations of winning them for such a low price. Then I totally forgot about them and ended up winning 3 of them. I usually avoid duplicates but didn’t mind because of the price.

PCGS pop of this coin in this grade is currently 41,380. Does this qualify as common dreck?

@1madman... I never, never, ever consider Gold Double Eagles dreck.... and the prices will definitely not be dreckish.... Cheers, RickO
