"Being imaged"

Checking my submissions at PCGS and noticed one of them was "being imaged" (though I didn't request a true view on the form). My first thought is, "Wow, they must like one of the coins". But this has happened before in the past and when the particular coin is graded and finalized it really didn't grade that high (no MS67) where I could make good money. So my question:
..What's up with that???

I have had images of coins I didn't pay to be imaged, they didn't put them on the trueview template, but I did get the images.
The top item here you can tell the image is on the trueview template, the rest of the order below it are imaged, but are not on trueview template. This order sat with our hosts nearly 100 days, I don't know if they imaged them because of the delays, because they were training someone, because they wanted pictures of extremely common modern coins? Never did get an official reason just "enjoy the freebies"
At least your submission is moving forward. My order has been "scheduled for grading" for two months. I am certain that others are in a similar "cue" and/or longer waiting times.

I had 2 in “received” Feb 7. One is in encapsulation and the other is still sitting in “received”.
I want to know if there is significance to the term "being imaged" ,i.e. the particular coin is noteworthy.
In the past I had a really nice uncirculated 1936 Philadelphia Buffalo that had "being imaged" attached to it. Only came back MS66. I thought it could '7. Oh well. . . .
No, every submission I do goes through that “being imaged” stage multiple times in the order process, and I never request or use a tier that requires trueviews. Don’t read anything into it.
I suspect that 'being imaged', when not part of the request, is being imaged for PCGS's records. Cheers, RickO
